3-month training program for intermediate + to advanced inversion students to advance your forearm stand and handstand!
(This course is ONLY for students who have taken my Intermediate Inversion Course (Also known as Accelerate Your Inversions) OR I invited you)
This round of Inversion Crew is for intermediate + to advanced inversion students who want to:
Balance easily and with control in forearm stand and handstand for up to 1 minute.
Hop up in the middle of the room and know that you'll catch the balance straight away.
Balance in a range of shapes - half tuck, stag, tuck, straddle, straight, half pike, pike, hollowback and scorpion.
Balance in a good line.
Have the stability and control to move the legs around between shapes.
Learn and be able to execute a wide variety of jumping entries into your forearm stand and handstand.
It doesn't come from doing random inversion classes.
It doesn't come from just hopping up into your forearm stand or handstand every so often during or outside of your yoga class.
Each month focuses on a main shape/s that we can balance in in forearm stand and handstand:
1.The first 4 weeks focuses on half tuck, stag and straight.
2. The second 4 weeks focuses on tuck.
3. The third 4 weeks focuses on straddle.
And each week has a different focus relating to the main shape for each month:
Week 1: Technique and endurance for balancing in forearm stand and handstand
Week 2: Technique and endurance for various ways of entering into forearm stand and handstand
Week 3: Balance and leg movements in forearm stand and handstand
Week 4: Technique and endurance for various ways of entering into forearm stand and handstand
Over 3 months I'll be leading you through drills to build the strength and endurance that you need in the right places to be able to balance for as long as you want in a range of shapes, to be able to balance in a good line, to be able to do leg movements, to be able to recover your balance after losing it and more.
I'll be teaching you how to be precise with your position - the technique you need to know to accurately execute a range of shapes, how to balance in those shapes, how to position yourself in a good line in those shapes, and how to save the balance if you're losing it.
I'll be teaching you good technique for a wide range of ways of hopping/jumping into forearm stand and handstand. We'll be working on improving your ability to nail the entry with less tries (more precision!), and building up your endurance so you can successfully execute the entry multiple times in a row.
And I'll be teaching you a range of leg movement sequences to challenge your balance, body awareness and control!
I'll be running the same 3- month program on both Sundays and Tuesdays starting in April. If you plan on attending live, choose the day that works best for your schedule. If you're going to join via recording, then it doesn't matter which day you sign up for.
Sunday sessions are at 11am (UK time) and Tuesday sessions are at 6:45pm (UK time). These sessions are live and recorded on zoom. Each class is an hour to 70 minutes.
The Tuesday program of Inversion Crew: the Spring Series starts on Tuesday 7 April at 6:45pm UK time.
The Sunday program of Inversion Crew: the Spring Series starts on Sunday 12 April at 11am UK time.
Inversion Crew is my intermediate + to advanced inversion training program and community!
When I created Inversion Crew back in March 2020, I wanted to provide students with access to consistent inversion training that would help them to finally progress with the inversions that they had been struggling with for months or years. And I wanted to share my method, because I knew it would work for them!
These were not yoga classes with inversions thrown in. These were not handstand classes where the focus is often on skills and drills that I don't believe are very accessible or helpful for adults who don't have any inversion experience. And this was not a one off workshop or short course where students are unable to reach their full potential because they don't continue to train regularly over a longer period of time!
Building a foundation of strength, mobility and endurance in all of the right places to be able to balance in both forearm stand and handstand. You should not ONLY be working on balance when training to balance upside down.
Progressively introducing students to inversion skills starting with the easiest and most accessible, and layering on more challenging options as they increase their abilities. This may sound logical, but I would argue that the majority of handstand training does not do this!
Considering differences between students' bodies as much as is possible in a group setting. This is not one size fits all for every student. I always strive to help students understand how their unique body may mean that they need to adjust the way they position the body in certain shapes, they may need to hear and focus on different cues to someone else, or focus on different drills to improve and reach the next level!
Many of my Inversion Crew students have been regulars for years, some have even been a part of Inversion Crew since it started in 2020! I run Inversion Crew all year long with multiple courses throughout the year. Most students continue to roll from one course to the next to stay consistent with their inversion training and to continue progressing! But it is also possible to just join a single course!
This program is for you if:
- You have taken my Intermediate Inversion Course (Accelerate Your Inversions), you've previously joined Inversion Crew, OR I have invited you and told you that you're at the right level for Inversion Crew! If you don't match those requirements, message me, and I'll let you know what course would be appropriate for you!
- You’re ready and excited to start training your inversions consistently over the next 3 months to take them to the next level this spring!
